Reports to:

Aquatics Supervisor/Assistant General Manager

Description:

SafeSplash Swim Instructors teach in accordance with the SafeSplash curriculum and certification standards.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

1. Teach swimming skills following the curriculum in a fun, engaging manner.
2. Provide positive feedback and corrections to students.
3. Structure classes to include repetition, reinforcement, and skill introduction.
4. Ensure proper equipment use and timely class start times.
5. Coordinate class details with Deck Supervisor.
6. Offer monthly, personalized feedback during Splash ‘N Tell week.
7. Maintain proper uniform standards.

Other Duties:

• Perform additional tasks as assigned.

Qualifications and Requirements:

• Experience teaching children aged 6 months to 10 years and those with special needs is preferred.
• Training in SafeSplash curriculum will be provided.
• Must be able to lift, push, and pull up to 50 pounds.

Uniforms:

Uniforms include logoed suits or shorts. SafeSplash covers 50% of the cost of one uniform per year. Additional uniforms are employee-purchased at cost. Uniforms must be maintained in a professional, clean condition and worn during instructing hours.

Hours:

3-30 hours per week

Compensation:

$11.00 - $14.00 per hour, depending on experience and skills.
