Job summary

The Patrick Henry Family YMCA is seeking part time swim instructors to lead swim lessons for program participants at our pool. We are looking for enthusiastic, energetic instructors with flexible work schedules and the ability to work with a variety of ages.

Using teaching techniques, instructors will work with small groups teaching swimming skills, basic water safety, and YMCA core values. Qualified candidates should hold current CPR, AED and First Aid certifications; YMCA, American Red Cross

Qualifications

• Current CPR, AED and First Aid certifications.
• Certifications such as YMCA Lifeguard, ARC Lifeguard, Ellis or YMCA Swim Lesson Instructor or WSI are preferred but not necessary.

Responsibilities

• Lead swim lessons for program participants at the YMCA pool.
• Teach swimming skills and basic water safety to small groups.

The Patrick Henry Family YMCA is seeking part time swim instructors to lead swim lessons for program participants at our pool! The pay range for this position is $15-$17 based on experience & qualifications.

DUTIES for Swim Instructors

Swim instructors should be enthusiastic and energetic, with strong interpersonal skills. We are looking for swim instructors who have flexible work schedules and the ability to work with a variety of ages. Using tools and teaching techniques, swim instructors will work with small groups of participants teaching swimming skills, basic water safety, and the YMCA core values.

QUALIFICATIONS for Swim Instructors

Candidates must have current CPR, AED and First Aid certifications. Current YMCA, American Red Cross Lifeguard, or Ellis and YMCA Swim Lesson Instructor or WSI certifications are preferred but not necessary.
