The Position:

At British Swim School of Greater Anaheim, we teach fun swim lessons, but that’s not all! We aim to help our swimmers reach their goals quickly and safely. Our team is dedicated to saving lives while having fun! Join us and make a splash in both swimming skills and fun! We are seeking an enthusiastic Swim Instructor who is passionate about water safety, enjoys working with children, and believes learning should be joyous. Our teaching approach incorporates fun and singing into lessons, making them memorable for students and instructors alike.

As a swim instructor, you will receive training to teach swim lessons to children and adults, starting from 3 months old, following our gentle, fun, and progressive aquatics program. You will be assigned a class schedule and interact with swimmers, parents, and guardians.

Your Typical Responsibilities:

• Report to and support the Aquatics Manager/Lead and/or Business Owners.
• Instruct swimming lessons according to British Swim School standards, ensuring safety, engagement, and education for all ages and abilities, maintaining necessary certifications.
• Work a flexible schedule, including evenings (3 pm-7 pm), weekends (8 am-1 pm), and holidays as needed.
• Be in a moderate to high noise environment and in the water during shifts.
• Make lessons energetic and fun, incorporating songs and games.
• Monitor progress, encourage students, and provide constructive feedback.
• Maintain a positive atmosphere to promote engagement and retention.
• Collaborate with team members to improve teaching methods and customer experience.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Bilingual preferred (English/Spanish), but not required.
• High school diploma or in progress.
• Enthusiastic personality.
• Comfortable in water; strong swimming skills are a plus but can be developed.
• Maintain certifications throughout employment.
• Complete all required British Swim School training and testing.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience working with children.
• Swimming experience: 1-2 years preferred but not required.
• Customer service experience: 1 year preferred.
