Job summary

Pro-Vac is seeking a Sweeper Operator to support communities by keeping roads, neighborhoods, and waterways clean. You will work with a team of sweepers, perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections, and operate sweeper and water trucks safely.

Ideal candidates hold a Class A or B CDL with Tanker and Air Brake endorsements, can lift 50 lbs, and are comfortable working outdoors in various conditions. A safety-conscious mindset and excellent customer relations are essential.

Qualifications

• Must hold a Class A or B CDL with Tanker Endorsement & Air Brake Endorsements.
• Able to lift at least 50 lbs and perform daily physical activity.
• Comfortable working outdoors and in varied weather conditions.
• Read site documentation and operate equipment controls.

Responsibilities

• Operate Sweeper and Water trucks safely and efficiently.
• Perform pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections.
• Adhere to safety practices and regulations while on the job.
• Provide professional customer interactions and maintain road safety.

As a Sweeper Operator at Pro-Vac, you will help support our communities by keeping neighborhoods, roads, and waterways clean and free of pollutant build-up and damage. Physical & Working Conditions

• Lifting, carrying, pushing, and pulling up to 50 lbs; frequent bending, kneeling, climbing, and working at heights
• Standing and moving for extended periods; operating vehicles across varied terrain
• Perceiving auditory safety signals, verbal warnings, and radio communications in active field environments
• Wearing all required PPE including OSHA-compliant respirators, hearing protection, eye protection, gloves, and safety footwear
• Reading site documentation and accurately operating equipment controls
• Working outdoors in heat, cold, rain, and wet conditions
• Maintaining situational awareness around active traffic, heavy machinery, and underground utilities
• Working in confined spaces per applicable safety protocols
