New York City Economic Development Corporation seeks a visionary SVP of Policy to drive rigorous policy research from conception to policy impact. You will guide economic research, translate findings for senior leadership, and lead cross-agency collaborations to advance inclusive, innovation-driven policy across NYC.

The role requires strong economic judgment, strategic briefing abilities, and a track record of delivering actionable insights to City leadership and stakeholders.

Formación

• Bachelor’s degree in Public Policy, Government, Statistics, Economics, Urban Planning, or a related field. Master’s degree preferred.
• 10+ years of relevant professional experience in policy research and analysis.
• Strong economic and policy judgment with the ability to translate complex evidence into clear insights.
• Ability to build productive relationships with senior officials, external researchers, and stakeholders.
• Proven written and verbal communication skills for diverse audiences.
• Ability to manage multiple deliverables in a fast-paced environment.

Responsabilidades

• Set the direction for NYCEDC’s policy research agenda with the Chief Economist.
• Lead high-impact policy research from question development through analysis and communication.
• Serve as a senior thought partner to agency and City leadership.
• Lead comparative policy research across NYC and peer cities.
• Build partnerships across NYCEDC and City agencies to translate findings into strategies.
• Shape NYCEDC’s legislative priorities with the Government and Community Partnerships team.
• Represent NYCEDC externally through presentations, publications, and briefings.
• Respond to ad-hoc data requests from internal teams and City Hall.
• Lead or contribute to high-priority research initiatives and manage projects.
• Other duties as assigned.
