Job summary

Jobot is seeking a senior operations leader to run the Midwest MEP platform, reporting to the CEO with enterprise-wide impact. The role requires VP-level experience in an MEP contractor, with hands-on root-cause analysis, standardization across multiple sites, and a bias for fast, disciplined execution.

You will partner with division leaders to diagnose challenges, drive fixes, and scale operations while traveling ~50% and coordinating remote teams.

Qualifications

• VP or above level experience within an MEP contractor/construction firm.
• Experience diagnosing operational issues and implementing fixes.
• Experience integrating and standardizing acquired or multi-location businesses.
• Willingness to travel ~50% and reside in the Midwest.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the go-to operations leader across all divisions, partnering with division and operating-company leaders.
• Diagnose operational challenges, identify root causes, and lead practical, lasting fixes.
• Prioritize the divisions and locations with the greatest opportunity for improvement.
• Standardize and strengthen operating processes across a multi-site footprint.
• Bring structure and operational discipline to recently acquired businesses.
• Operate strategically while staying hands-on and close to the field.
