Job summary

Novacore Insurance Services, LLC seeks a SVP, Head of Engineering & Solutions Architect to own the AI platform strategy and drive cloud-native development on Azure. You will guide a core engineering team and collaborate with Product, Underwriting, and Data Science to deliver AI-enabled underwriting capabilities.

You will lead architecture, tooling, and developer workflows, emphasizing scalable, production-grade AI systems and strong engineering leadership in a fast-moving environment.

Qualifications

• Expert-level hands-on engineering background with a strong desire to code.
• Experience building production AI systems with agent-based architectures.
• Strong proficiency in Python and AI frameworks (LangChain, LangGraph, Semantic Kernel).
• Experience designing modern cloud-native platforms in Microsoft Azure.
• Solid experience with RESTful services and modern backend architectures.
• Working knowledge of JavaScript and modern frameworks (Vue.js, React) to guide teams.

Responsibilities

• Own AI platform strategy and engineering roadmap for underwriting and adjacent business functions.
• Design and build AI-first platforms leveraging agentic systems across underwriting and operations.
• Lead adoption of AI-assisted development and code generation tools to improve productivity and quality.
• Partner with Data Science to operationalize models and agents in production, focusing on engineering and platformization.
• Architecture & Hands-On Engineering: design and implement cloud-native architectures in Azure; evolve APIs and workflows.
• Build and evolve a proprietary AI-enabled underwriting platform from the ground up; responsible for deployment pipelines.
