Job summary

Starr Insurance is seeking a strategic Senior Vice President (SVP) of Financial Lines to lead the division, including D&O, FI, EPL, and related products. You will drive strategy, oversee underwriting, and collaborate with executives to meet growth and profitability goals.

You will manage key broker relationships, guide talent development, and represent Starr at industry events, shaping the firm’s market position while delivering durable client value and innovative solutions.

Qualifications

Minimum 12 years in financial lines insurance with underwriting and business development focus.
Proven leadership and talent development experience.
Strong broker/market relationships and profitability track record.
Deep knowledge of Financial Lines, markets, and regulatory environment.
Excellent strategic thinking, communication, and negotiation skills.

Responsibilities

Develop and lead strategy for Financial Lines offerings aligned with market trends.
Oversee underwriting, targets, and performance monitoring.
Build and maintain broker, client, and partner relationships.
Provide leadership to Financial Lines staff and foster high performance.
Collaborate on business planning, forecasts, risk, and regulatory issues.
Monitor market developments and regulatory changes, adapt strategies.
Represent Starr at industry events and communicate strengths.
Drive efficiencies and best practices to maximize client value.
