Job summary

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience at the senior management level leading, supporting and developing K-12 curriculum and related services.
• 5+ years of experience managing professional staff members and teams.
• Direct leadership experience in the development and/or publishing of high-quality instructional materials in the K-12 education space.
• Broad political and technical understanding of current curriculum and assessment trends and practices.
• Track record of thought leadership, strategic partnerships, and needs-based solution design.
• Deep knowledge of curriculum, instruction, assessment, and K-12 market trends.
• Demonstrated pedagogical expertise.
• Travel up to 25%.

Responsibilities

• Set strategy and oversee the Curriculum Department within the broader Curriculum & Assessment Services Division.
• Lead development and lifecycle management of curriculum and non-summative assessments across content areas.
• Ensure coherence across curriculum, instruction, assessment, and professional learning.
• Drive product innovation, partnerships, and revenue growth.
• Leverage AI and emerging technologies to strengthen curriculum and assessment offerings.
• Partner with Largescale Assessment, Measurement, and The Lab on aligned solutions and R&D.
• Represent Cognia as a thought leader at industry forums and with policymakers.
• Stay current on education regulations, trends, and competitive landscape.
