Job summary

Virginia Commonwealth University seeks a Director of Academic Assessment & Program Review to advance campus-wide improvement. You will mentor faculty, translate data into curricular enhancements, and guide accreditation-related reporting and program reviews.

The role includes leading institutional assessment strategy, curriculum design collaboration, and compliance with accreditation standards, while managing an assessment software platform and coordinating with the APR team.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in educational research, curriculum design, psychometrics, or assessment.
• Strong background in higher education assessment and accreditation.
• Experience designing and delivering faculty development and workshops.

Responsibilities

• Oversee student learning outcomes assessment across all programs.
• Review annual assessment reports and provide actionable feedback.
• Lead workshops and consultations to improve curricular alignment.
• Coordinate general education assessment with the General Education Council.
• Support accreditation efforts and programmatic reviews with data-driven insights.
• Manage the assessment software platform and generate institutional reports.
• Lead the Assessment Council to promote continuous improvement.
