Job summary

RockBridge Search & Recruitment in Salt Lake City, Utah seeks a skilled SVC Technician to install, troubleshoot, maintain, and repair commercial and industrial equipment, delivering outstanding service.

With 3+ years of field service experience, you will read schematics, perform maintenance, coordinate with teams, and uphold safety standards. A valid driver’s license and ability to lift 50 pounds are required. A company vehicle may be provided.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience as a Service Technician or similar role.
• Ability to read electrical schematics and mechanical drawings.
• Experience with commercial/industrial equipment.
• Excellent customer service and communication skills.
• Valid driver’s license with clean record.

Responsibilities

• Install, inspect, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain equipment.
• Perform preventative maintenance to maximize performance and reliability.
• Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic issues.
• Read and interpret blueprints, wiring diagrams, schematics, and manuals.
• Complete service reports and work orders; document findings.

What You'll Do

• Install, inspect, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain commercial and industrial equipment.
• Perform preventative maintenance to maximize equipment performance and reliability.
• Diagnose mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic issues with efficiency and accuracy.
• Read and interpret blueprints, wiring diagrams, schematics, and technical manuals.
• Complete detailed service reports, maintenance documentation, and work orders.
• Communicate professionally with customers regarding repairs, maintenance recommendations, and equipment operation.
• Perform equipment start-ups, testing, calibration, and system commissioning.
• Coordinate with project managers, field personnel, and internal support teams to ensure successful project completion.
• Maintain company vehicles, tools, and equipment in excellent condition.
• Follow all OSHA regulations and company safety standards while maintaining a clean and organized work environment.
• Respond to service calls with professionalism, urgency, and a solutions-focused mindset.

What You Bring

• 3+ years of experience as a Service Technician, Field Service Technician, HVAC Technician, Mechanical Technician, or similar technical role.
• Strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills.
• Ability to diagnose equipment failures quickly and implement effective repairs.
• Experience working with commercial or industrial equipment.
• Ability to read electrical schematics and mechanical drawings.
• Excellent customer service and communication skills.
• Strong organizational and time management abilities.
• Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with teammates.
• Comfortable using tablets, mobile devices, and service software for documentation.
• Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and work in varying indoor and outdoor conditions.

Preferred Qualifications

• Technical school, trade certification, or equivalent hands-on experience.
• Experience with preventative maintenance programs.
• EPA, OSHA, or manufacturer certifications are a plus.
• Familiarity with PLC controls, VFDs, or industrial automation systems is highly desirable.
