Job summary

Employee Workplace is seeking a Field Service Engineer to install, configure, and support industrial automation systems across customer sites in the Salt Lake City area. You will troubleshoot PLCs, DCS, networking, and integration challenges, perform maintenance, and deliver technical documentation.

This hands-on role requires 2+ years in automation, travel up to 50%, and residence within 50 miles of West Valley City, UT.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related field or equivalent experience.
• 2+ years in industrial automation, process control, or control systems.
• Willingness to travel up to 50% and reside within 50 miles of West Valley City, UT.

Responsibilities

• Install, configure, commission, and support industrial automation and control systems.
• Troubleshoot PLC, DCS, networking, instrumentation, and system integration issues.
• Perform preventive maintenance, upgrades, repairs, and system optimizations.
• Support customer operations via onsite and remote technical assistance.
• Prepare engineering documentation, reports, and project deliverables.
• Ensure safety, quality, and project standards compliance.
• Provide after-hours support when required.

Education Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Physics, Mathematics, or a related technical field, or equivalent experience.

Experience Requirements

• 2+ years of experience supporting industrial automation, process control, or control systems.
• 2+ years of experience with PLCs, DCS systems, industrial networking, or system integration.
• Ability to travel up to 50% to customer and project sites.
• Must reside within 50 miles of West Valley City, UT.
