Job summary

Old Dominion Freight Line, Inc. is seeking a Service Center HR Manager to lead the human resources function at our Indianapolis service center. You will guide employee relations, ensure policy consistency, and align practices with OD's values and service excellence expectations.

You will collaborate with the Corporate HR teams on benefits, leaves, and training, while driving onboarding, orientation, and employee development to maximize engagement across the site.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent education and experience.
• PHR or SHRM certification preferred.
• 5 years of experience as an HR Generalist, preferably in trucking.
• Proficiency with AS400, SAP and Microsoft Office.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Working knowledge of federal, state, and local employment law.

Responsibilities

• Provide guidance for employee relations, ensuring policy and procedure application.
• Guide day-to-day decisions about employees and model company values.
• Monitor employee/labor relations issues and improve communication with staff.
• Support corporate HR recruiting in building relationships with schools and job fairs.
• Recruit, interview and collaborate with Service Center Manager to fill openings.
• Oversee onboarding and orientation, coordinate with HR leadership on changes.
