Job summary

Belay Technologies, Inc., based in Columbia, Maryland, seeks a Software Engineer (Sustainment) to maintain and modernize backend services using Java/Spring Boot, JavaScript, Oracle/SQL, and Linux/Docker environments. You will troubleshoot, deploy, and support enterprise applications while collaborating with customers and the engineering team.

The role requires TS/SCI clearance with poly, a bachelor’s degree (or 10 years experience in lieu), and hands-on experience across modern and legacy

Qualifications

• TS/SCI Clearance with polygraph
• Bachelor’s degree and six (6) years of software development/engineering experience; ten (10) years may substitute for degree
• Experience with Java development
• Experience with Oracle databases including SQL development
• Experience with a JavaScript framework such as Angular
• Experience developing in Linux
• Experience with Docker for containerized deployment and management
• Must be able to work between core hours 10AM-2PM

Responsibilities

• Maintain, enhance, and modernize backend services developed using Java and Spring Boot
• Develop, maintain, and troubleshoot software using JavaScript and other languages as required
• Work with Oracle databases and SQL to develop and support data interactions
• Learn and apply additional languages, frameworks, tools as required
• Update dependencies to ensure security and maintainability
• Analyze and implement code changes after upgrades
• Perform application maintenance including troubleshooting and defect resolution
• Collaborate with customers and engineers to deliver solutions
• Participate in Agile ceremonies and sprint planning
