Job summary

Belay Technologies seeks a Software Engineer (Sustainment) to join our intel team in the Baltimore/Washington area. You will maintain, modernize, and support enterprise applications across Java, Spring Boot, JavaScript, Oracle SQL, and Linux, working on both modern and legacy stacks.

The role requires TS/SCI clearance with polygraph, a Bachelor’s degree (or 10 years of relevant experience), and experience with Docker, AWS, GitLab, and Agile practices.

Qualifications

• TS/SCI clearance with polygraph required.
• Bachelor’s degree or 10 years of software development experience in similar scope may substitute for degree.
• Experience with Java development and Oracle databases (SQL).
• Experience with Angular and JavaScript frameworks.
• Experience with Linux and containerized deployments (Docker).
• Able to work within core hours 10AM-2PM; exceptions considered case-by-case.

Responsibilities

• Maintain, enhance, and modernize backend services with Java and Spring Boot.
• Develop and troubleshoot software using JavaScript and other languages as needed.
• Work with Oracle databases and SQL for data interactions.
• Learn and apply additional languages, frameworks, and tools as requirements evolve.
• Update dependencies to keep applications secure and maintainable.
• Collaborate with customers, developers, and systems engineers to deliver solutions.
• Participate in Agile ceremonies and sprint planning.
• Support deployments and operations in Linux/Docker environments.
• Contribute to long-term stability and performance of critical enterprise apps.
