Job summary

Leidos is seeking an experienced Sustainment Engineer within the Logistics & Sustainment Department to directly support program execution. The role operates in a matrix environment with accountability for requirements, priorities, technical direction, cost, and schedule.

Develop, integrate, and continuously improve sustainment processes, tools, templates, and standards; support lifecycle sustainment from design through fielding; and collaborate across engineering, product support, field

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering with 4+ years or Master’s with 2+ years of relevant experience.
• Experience in sustainment, logistics, or systems engineering.
• Ability to communicate technical topics clearly to engineering and leadership.

Responsibilities

• Develop, integrate, and continuously improve sustainment engineering processes, methods, templates, tools, and standards.
• Support development of sustainment strategies from early lifecycle through fielding and sustainment.
• Integrate reliability, maintainability, availability, supportability, maintenance, supply support, technical data, training, facilities, support equipment, and other sustainment considerations into system and program decisions.
• Perform sustainment analyses covering maintenance concepts, sparing, manpower, lifecycle cost, readiness, and support strategies.
• Work across disciplines to integrate end-to-end logistics and ensure sustainment considerations are identified early.
• Participate in design reviews to influence system design and lifecycle decisions.
• Support development of contract deliverables requiring sustainment input.
• Identify opportunities to use data, digital tools, automation, and analytics to improve sustainment planning and decision-making.
