Bauer-Equipment-America-1 is seeking a Sustaining Mechanical Engineer for its Conroe, TX location to own the technical health and lifecycle performance of released products. You will translate field issues into meaningful design improvements and drive reliability across the portfolio.

The role combines hands-on mechanical and structural design with knowledge of hydraulic and electrical control systems used on GEFCO drilling equipment, interfacing with Field Service, QA, and Supply Chain.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.
• 5+ years in mechanical design or sustaining engineering for heavy equipment.
• Experience with drilling equipment and field exposure is preferred.
• Strong GD&T, weldment design, and fatigue analysis skills.
• Proficient in CAD, FEA and manufacturing processes.

Responsibilities

• Own engineering support for released products across their lifecycle.
• Triages and resolves field, customer, and manufacturing issues with root cause analysis.
• Lead cross-functional investigations and corrective actions.
• Create, update, and manage drawings, bills of materials, and service literature.
• Define testing and verification to support product releases and changes.
• Coordinate with R&D, Supply Chain, and Production for improvements.
