Job summary

BAUER Equipment America in Conroe, Texas, seeks a Sustaining Mechanical Engineer to support released products, investigate field and manufacturing issues, and improve durability and safety.

You will design mechanical and structural components, lead product changes, drive reliability improvements, and work closely with Engineering, Manufacturing, Quality, and Supply Chain to implement high-impact projects. Occasional travel to sites will be required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering required.
• 5+ years of mechanical design or sustaining engineering experience in heavy equipment or capital manufacturing preferred.
• Experience with drilling equipment and field exposure is strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide engineering support for released products and resolve field, customer, and manufacturing issues.
• Design and improve mechanical and structural components, creating and revising 3D models and drawings.
• Lead product change management activities (ECRs/ECOs) and configuration control.
• Drive reliability and continuous improvement using warranty, field, and manufacturing data.
• Collaborate with Engineering, Manufacturing, Quality, Supply Chain, and Field Service to implement improvements.
