ASSA ABLOY Global Solutions is seeking a Sustaining Engineer focused on product design and development, prototyping, packaging, and sustaining engineering to ensure cost-effective production and high-quality delivery.

The role involves coordinating design improvements, BOM management, manufacturing method selection, and delivering projects to closure. Travel up to 15% may be required.

Qualifications

• Experience in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
• Proficiency in Solidworks, MS Office, PDM and ERP systems.
• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to analyze and resolve engineering challenges.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
• Ability to meet deadlines and deliver high-quality results.
• Excellent teamwork skills.

Responsibilities

• Willingness to work all projects to closure and make the team successful no matter what it takes
• Aptitude for creative approaches to efficiency gains in engineering support
• Develop design improvements that reduce cost and/or improve performance
• Populate and release Engineering Change Notices
• Prepare and populate product BOM in ERP system
• Develop, coordinate, or monitor all aspects of production, including selection of manufacturing methods, fabrication, or operation of product designs
• Ad hoc projects and assignments as needed
• Travel up to 15%
