Job summary

Current Lighting seeks a Sustaining Engineer to support and enhance the Litecontrol architectural linear lighting portfolio. You will partner with Manufacturing, Quality, Product Management, and Supply Chain to resolve issues, maintain documentation, and support customer requirements.

Responsibilities include on-site engineering support, root cause analysis, engineering changes, and prototype development to meet manufacturing and customer needs.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering or related field; 2–5 years in design or manufacturing support.

Responsibilities

• Provide on-site engineering support for existing products, including troubleshooting fabrication, assembly, testing, and quality issues with manufacturing personnel.
• Investigate product failures, warranty claims, and customer returns; perform root cause analysis and implement corrective actions.
• Manage engineering changes, BOMs, drawings, specifications, and related product documentation.
• Serve as the product engineering liaison for SAP VC, validating configuration behavior and reflecting design/manufacturing requirements.
• Drive continuous improvement, value engineering, cost reduction, and manufacturability initiatives.
• Build and evaluate prototypes, samples, and product modifications to support manufacturing and customer needs.
