Job summary

SIG SAUER, Inc is seeking a Sustaining Engineer I to support the maintenance and improvement of existing firearms products, ensuring quality and performance. You will troubleshoot production issues, implement design changes, and collaborate with Quality, Operations, and R&D teams to drive engineering changes using SOLIDWORKS and PLM systems.

This role emphasizes root cause analysis, value engineering, and manufacturing process optimization while documenting changes and ensuring designs meet

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Manufacturing, Mechanical Engineering, or equivalent with 0-3 years of experience.
  • Proficiency in Excel, Word, and PowerPoint as well as SOLIDWORKS; familiarity with data analysis programs.
  • Ability to clearly convey ideas verbally and in writing; high technical proficiency.

Responsibilities

  • Assist in troubleshooting production issues and identifying root causes for firearms products.
  • Implement product or assembly improvements through drawing/model changes using SOLIDWORKS and PLM.
  • Support transition of new products from R&D to production and coordinate changes with cross-functional teams.
  • Track tasks using monday.com boards and other tools.
  • Participate in value engineering and Product & Process Improvement efforts.
  • Review non-conforming materials and coordinate rework with operations.
