Job summary

SIG SAUER, Inc. is seeking a Sustaining Engineer II at our Newington, NH facility. You will maintain and improve firearm products, troubleshoot production issues on assembly and range, and coordinate changes with Quality, Operations, and R&D to ensure on-time delivery.

The role emphasizes root cause analysis, value engineering, design improvements using SOLIDWORKS and PLM, and documentation of engineering changes, with strong cross-functional teamwork and commitment to manufacturing excellence.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Manufacturing or Mechanical Engineering.
3–6 years of engineering or manufacturing experience.
Strong knowledge of GD&T ASME Y14.5M-2009.
Proficient with SOLIDWORKS and PLM systems.
Experience documenting and presenting technical information.
Ability to work with cross-functional teams.

Responsibilities

Troubleshoot production issues and identify root causes.
Implement design improvements and updates in drawings and models using SOLIDWORKS.
Support the transition of new products from R&D to production.
Coordinate changes with Quality, Operations, and R&D teams.
Lead the documentation and management of engineering changes.
Support 5S and sustainment activities in the shop floor.
