Stored Energy Systems (SENS) in Longmont, CO, seeks an experienced Electrical Engineer III to sustain released products, driving reliability, manufacturability, and cost improvements. You will analyze field and production issues, manage component obsolescence, and implement engineering changes with cross-functional teams.

The role emphasizes sustaining improvements over new-product architecture, with collaboration across Engineering, Manufacturing, Quality, Supply Chain, and Customer Service.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering required.
• 8+ years sustaining engineering or related hardware support.
• Strong analog/digital, AC/DC power, circuit protection, and reliability knowledge.
• Experience managing component lifecycle and obsolescence.
• Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot electrical failures and drive root cause.
• Reading schematics, BOMs, and drawings with accuracy.
• Experience with design change control and documentation.

Responsibilities

• Own sustaining electrical activities for released products ensuring reliability and manufacturability.
• Troubleshoot electrical design issues in production or field and implement corrective actions.
• Provide Tier 2 technical support to Production for complex problems.
• Monitor component reliability and obsolescence risks across products.
• Evaluate alternative components and suppliers for cost and performance.
• Develop and release engineering changes with updated schematics and BOMs.
• Create customer documentation for released products and coordinate content.
• Implement DFM/DFA improvements to reduce variation and improve quality.
• Improve test fixtures and verification testing for sustaining changes.
• Coordinate design-change handoffs with Manufacturing, Quality, Supply Chain, and suppliers.
