Job summary

Arup is seeking a Mechanical Engineering Intern (Available 2027) in Dallas to contribute to sustainable building services. You’ll engage in HVAC design across healthcare, commercial, and data center sectors, collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to deliver high-performance systems.

You will work on load calculations, energy analyses, and CFD studies, while developing communication skills through presentations and workshops with diverse stakeholders.

Qualifications

Undergraduate/Bachelor's level in Mechanical, Civil or Architectural Engineering.
Heat transfer, thermodynamics and fluid dynamics.
Familiarity with HVAC design fundamentals and building services tools.

Responsibilities

Design HVAC services within the built environment with a sustainability focus.
Collaborate with clients, architects, engineers and consultants on integrated solutions.
Perform engineering analysis and modelling: whole-building load, energy, façade thermal and airflow.
Present and communicate technical ideas to diverse audiences via talks and workshops.
