Job summary

CCBC in Dundalk is seeking Part-time Adjunct Faculty to teach Sustainable Landscape/Horticulture for the January 2025 semester. The course, Horticulture 228 Sustainable Landscape Planning (4 credit hours), explores innovations in landscape development for the Mid-Atlantic and residential design integration.

Instructors with expertise in landscape design, restoration, installation, and maintenance; turf and grounds maintenance; or greenhouse production are encouraged to apply.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare and deliver instruction for the course.
  • Submit materials for duplication and grades on time.
  • Coordinate activities with the Program Director.
  • Availability to help students during one office hour each week.
  • Participate in department and College activities.

Part-time Adjunct Faculty are needed to provide instruction for the Sustainable Horticulture program. The Sustainable HorticultureProgram provides an innovative and multi-faceted approach to trainstudents who wish to enter or advance careers in horticulture.Associates of Applied Science and certificate programs areavailable through CCBC's School of Mathematics &Science.

Instructors are needed to teach Horticulture 228 SustainableLandscape Planning (4 credit hours) for the January 2025 semester. The course explores new innovations and ideas in landscapedevelopment for the Mid-Atlantic and their incorporation into residential design.

The Sustainable Horticulture Program also accepts applications onan ongoing basis for instructors with expertise in landscapedesign, restoration, installation, and maintenance; turf andgrounds maintenance; and greenhouse production.

Adjunct faculty responsibilities include: (1) support learning bypreparing and delivering instruction (2) timely submission ofmaterials for duplication and grades and (3) coordinate activitieswith the Program Director. Availability to help students during oneoffice hour each week is required along with participation in somedepartment and College activities.

Pay level: Adjunct Level 1 - $1085 per credit hour.
