Job summary

Deep Portage Learning Center in Hackensack, MN seeks a Resource Technician to operate a sustainable wood heating and renewable energy system, and maintain snowshoe, XC skiing and hiking trails for students and the public. The role also involves assisting with campus maintenance and safety compliance.

This temporary position requires 0-1 year of experience, an Associate’s degree or higher, a valid driver's license, and the ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions.

Qualifications

• Minimum level education: Associate’s Degree or higher
• Ability to work independently as well as in a team-oriented environment
• Clear verbal communication skills
• Valid Driver’s License with clean record
• Comply with safety regulations and demonstrate safety awareness
• Willingness to maintain a healthy community and workplace

Responsibilities

• Operate a sustainable wood heating and renewable energy system for the center
• Maintain snowshoe, XC skiing and hiking trails for students and the public
• Assist with campus maintenance and grounds keeping
• Safely operate vehicles and related equipment (chainsaws, ATVs, etc.)
