Job summary

AtkinsRéalis Belfast is seeking a Drainage/SuDS Engineer to develop drainage concepts and manage projects for water company, local authority and developer clients. You will work with geographers, GIS specialists, modellers and engineers to deliver high‑quality schemes on time and to budget.

You will coordinate with multidisciplinary teams, interface with clients, and stay ahead of changing drainage legislation.

Qualifications

• Degree in relevant subject and post-graduate experience.
• Experience in drainage design including SUDS is desirable.
• Proficiency with AutoCAD and hydraulic modelling tools is preferred.
• Strong written and oral communication skills and ability to lead teams.
• Interest in planning, ecology, landscape, and environmental management.

Responsibilities

• Develop concepts & designs for drainage and SuDS for various clients.
• Manage projects and design schedules to meet time and budget targets.
• Monitor changes in drainage legislation and ensure compliance.
• Identify business development opportunities and prepare proposals.
• Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams and site staff.
• Interface with clients and stakeholders to deliver value.
