Job summary

Verdantas is seeking a motivated intern for Summer 2027 in the Wilmington/Dover, DE offices. You will gain hands-on experience supporting calculations, CAD drawings, fieldwork, and data entry with seasoned professionals.

Ideal candidates are pursuing a Civil or Environmental Engineering bachelor’s degree and have experience with AutoCAD Civil 3D, Word, and Excel. The role may require travel; prior internship experience is a plus.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a bachelor’s degree in Civil or Environmental Engineering.
• Experience with AutoCAD Civil 3D, Microsoft Word, and Microsoft Excel.
• Ability to work independently and in a team.
• Previous engineering internship/Co-Op experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Assist in preparing engineering calculations, design drawings, specifications, and visual aids.
• Assist with fieldwork including site inspections and surveys.
• Research, collect, and enter data for interpretation and analysis.
• Review submittals and draft documents to meet project requirements.
• Prepare CAD and GIS drawings and documents.
• Update cost-estimating databases annually.
• Create and update design templates and calculation templates.
• Handle miscellaneous assignments as needed.
