Arup in New York is seeking a civil engineering student for a site development and transportation-focused internship. You will work with roads, rail, airports, data centers, and parks, employing Civil 3D or MicroStation to draft layouts and grading, and using hydraulic tools to analyze stormwater and flood systems.

You’ll collect data, apply codes, and coordinate with multiple disciplines to deliver sustainable design solutions while supporting drawings, reports, and site visits through project

Qualificações

• Pursuing Bachelor’s degree or higher in civil engineering or related field.
• Sound knowledge of civil engineering fundamentals.
• Experience with CAD software.
• Good communication skills for team-based work.
• Ability to perform in a deadline-driven environment.
• Ability to work in a multidisciplinary environment.
• Excellent planning and organization for a fast-paced environment.
• Motivated, proactive and willing to take on new challenges.
• Eligible to work in the United States without sponsorship now or in the future.

Responsabilidades

• Apply site/civil design for roads, rails, airports, data centers, and facilities.
• Layout roads and site grading using Civil 3D or MicroStation.
• Analyze stormwater and flood protection with hydraulic tools.
• Collect data, research, and apply codes and standards.
• Coordinate with disciplines to deliver sustainable outcomes.
• Understand all phases of planning, design, and construction.
• Research regulatory requirements for approvals.
• Engage with stakeholders to address needs and concerns.
• Support drawings, reports, calculations, and specifications.
• Conduct pre-construction and construction-phase site visits.
