Job summary

Turner Construction Company is seeking a Sustainability Leader to lead and coordinate sustainability initiatives across business units. The role includes coaching project teams, developing supplier relationships, and driving client engagement on sustainable outcomes.

The position emphasizes LEED-related topics, project management, and cross-functional collaboration with operations, BU management, and stakeholders to achieve certification goals and continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree and minimum of 7 years construction and/or sustainability industry experience or equivalent combination of education, training and/or experience
• Leadership and coaching of project teams on sustainability initiatives
• Strong communication and collaboration with clients, subcontractors and BU management
• LEED accreditation or equivalent green building certification preferred
• Project management experience and ability to manage multiple demands

Responsibilities

• Lead and coordinate sustainability activities within the business unit or market segment
• Develop relationships with sustainability subcontractors, suppliers, vendors, designers, and clients to advance common goals
• Promote sustainability pillars and concepts through training with project teams and BU management
• Support business development pursuits and client engagement on sustainability initiatives
• Engage in charrettes and design collaboration meetings targeting sustainable certification
• Provide direction to employees seeking sustainability accreditation
• Share best practices with BUs and Sustainability Managers
• Participate in Project Launch activities with related sustainability setup items
• Maintain and monitor Turner Green Zone checklist and sustainability data
• Attend Turner’s National sustainability meeting
• Perform other duties as assigned
