Job summary

Adams County seeks a second-level supervisory leader for the Fleet and Facilities Department – Operations Division. You will oversee maintenance and operations of all county buildings and assets, guiding staff and promoting sustainability to enhance long-term cost efficiency.

Responsibilities include leading supervisors, setting goals, implementing green procurement, and coordinating with departments to meet energy-reduction targets and compliance standards.

Qualifications

• Equivalent to an associate’s degree in building/construction management.
• Extensive experience in commercial/industrial facility maintenance management.
• Knowledge of LEED/ ENERGY STAR and sustainable procurement standards.

Responsibilities

• Lead day-to-day operations of public facilities and ensure compliance with standards.
• Provide leadership to Building Maintenance Supervisors and staff, promoting sustainability and energy conservation.
• Set and implement maintenance and operational goals aligned with municipal sustainability objectives.
• Develop standardized procedures integrating energy-saving technologies and green practices.
• Oversee projects, monitor budget, and report on sustainability performance and costs.
• Coordinate with departments to meet city/county sustainability goals, including green building standards.
• Identify risks and opportunities to improve building performance and reduce energy costs.
• Schedule facility inspections and staff training on safe, sustainable maintenance.
