Job summary

Corning Incorporated is seeking a Summer Corporate Sustainability Intern to join our global sustainability and climate initiatives team in Corning, NY. You will lead data collection, analyze sustainability data, and draft responses for key reporting programs using AI tools and Power BI to visualize progress.

Qualifications

• Pursuing BS or MS in environmental science, engineering, or related science discipline.
• Strong written and oral communication skills and willingness to learn.
• Interest in sustainability, climate, environmental and social issues.
• Proficient with Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
• Available for 10 weeks in Summer 2027 and graduation in 2027 or later.
• Interest in continuing with Corning Incorporated after graduation.
• Willing to work in person at the posted job location.

Responsibilities

• Lead data collection and analysis efforts for sustainability reporting programs.
• Engage with internal SMEs and use AI tools to draft and optimize responses.
• Align energy utilization and data approaches for materials produced.
• Build training materials for sustainability professionals.
• Support data collection from business units and sites to generate insights.
• Develop tools to visualize and track progress, requirements, and shareholder needs.
• Collaborate with Global Supply Management to quantify supplier GHG emissions and find reduction opportunities.
• Support resource efficiency and waste reduction efforts.
