Job summary

Corning is offering a Corporate Sustainability Intern position for Summer 2027 in Corning, NY. You will engage in data collection and analysis, support energy usage alignment, and build training materials to advance the company’s GHG accounting and reporting efforts.

The internship runs 10 weeks over Summer 2027, with opportunities to present your work to the sustainability center of excellence. Strong communication and PowerPoint/Excel skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Pursuing BS or MS in environmental science, engineering, or related field.
• Availability for 10 weeks during Summer 2027 (May–August 2027) with a graduation date of December 2027 or later.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Proficient in Word, Excel and PowerPoint.

Responsibilities

• Lead data collection and analysis efforts for sustainability reporting.
• Align energy utilization and data approaches for materials produced.
• Build training materials for sustainability professionals.
• Support data collection from business units and sites to generate insights.
• Drive tool visualization and tracking of sustainability progress.
• Quantify suppliers' GHG emissions with Global Supply Management.
• Assist resource efficiency and waste reduction efforts.
