Job summary

HDR is seeking a Sustainability and Resiliency Intern in Austin, TX. As an employee-owned firm, HDR offers real-world project experience and mentoring through young professionals programs while you apply engineering techniques under supervision.

You will contribute to diverse projects across sustainability and resiliency initiatives, gaining exposure to environmental science and planning within a collaborative culture that values innovation and impact.

Qualifications

  • Strong problem-solving and communication skills.
  • Basic Microsoft Office skills.
  • Attitude and commitment to being an active participant of our employee-owned culture is a must.

Responsibilities

  • Gain real-world experience on exciting projects.
  • Connect with recent college graduates and our company leaders through mentoring and young professionals programs.
  • Apply standard engineering techniques and procedures.
  • Perform assignments under the direct supervision of a professional engineer.
  • Perform other duties as needed.

In the role of Sustainability and Resiliency Intern, we’ll count on you to:

  • Gain real-world experience on exciting projects

Preferred Qualifications
  • Prefer 2 years completed toward degree with 3.0 GPA
  • Demonstrated knowledge of environmental science and planners in addition to engineering
Required Qualifications
  • Currently enrolled in an undergraduate or graduate Engineering program
  • Attention to detail
  • Possess strong problem-solving and communication skills
  • Basic Microsoft Office skills
