Job summary

HDR, Inc. is seeking a Controls Intern to gain real-world experience while enrolled in an undergraduate or graduate Engineering program.

You will perform assignments under supervision, learn standard engineering techniques, and contribute to project teams within HDR's Building Engineering Services Group. You will connect with recent graduates and leaders through mentoring and participate in HDR's employee-owned culture, shaping energy efficiency, digital infrastructure, and sustainable design

Qualifications

  • Currently enrolled in an undergraduate or graduate Engineering program
  • Demonstrated attention to detail and strong problem-solving skills
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to work with mentors and teams
  • Basic proficiency with Microsoft Office applications

Responsibilities

  • Assist in real-world engineering projects within HDR's Building Engineering Services Group
  • Learn and apply standard engineering techniques under supervision
  • Support project managers and engineers with documentation and analysis
  • Engage with mentoring programs and participate in employee-owned culture within HDR

In the role of Controls Intern, we'll count on you to:

  • Gain real-world experience on exciting projects
  • Connect with recent college graduates and our company leaders through mentoring and young professionals programs
  • Apply standard engineering techniques and procedures
  • Perform assignments under the direct supervision of a professional or Project Manager
  • Perform other duties as needed
Preferred Qualifications
  • Prefer 2 years completed toward degree with 3.0+ GPA
  • Demonstrated knowledge of software packages related to field of study/industry
