Job summary

HDR in Austin, Texas is seeking a Transportation Intern to gain real-world experience on exciting mobility projects. You will apply basic engineering techniques, collect data, and contribute to planset and estimate creation under supervision.

You will connect with recent graduates and company leaders through mentoring programs, and you will develop attention to detail, communication, and problem-solving skills in HDR's employee-owned culture.

Qualifications

  • Apply standard engineering techniques and procedures for basic design tasks, data collection, and planset and estimate creation.
  • Perform assignments under the direct supervision of a professional or Project Manager.
  • Perform other duties as needed

In the role of Transportation Intern, we'll count on you to:

Preferred Qualifications
  • Prefer 2 years completed toward degree with 3.0 GPA
  • Demonstrated knowledge of software packages related to field of study/industry like Microstation, OpenRoads Designer, and Microsoft 365.
Required Qualifications
  • Currently enrolled in an undergraduate or graduate Engineering program
  • Attention to detail
  • Possess strong problem-solving and communication skills
  • Basic Microsoft Office skills
  • An attitude and commitment to being an active participant of our employee-owned culture is a must
