Job summary

HDR is seeking a Fire and Life Safety Intern to gain hands-on experience on meaningful projects within our Building Engineering Services Group. You will work under the guidance of professionals to apply standard engineering techniques and procedures.

Ideal candidates are enrolled in an undergraduate or graduate Engineering program with a 3.0+ GPA, bring strong problem-solving and communication skills, and are prepared to contribute to a collaborative, employee-owned culture.

Qualifications

• Currently enrolled in an undergraduate or graduate Engineering program.
• GPA of 3.0 or higher preferred.
• Familiarity with standard engineering software packages.
• Strong attention to detail and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Gain real-world experience on exciting projects.
• Connect with recent college graduates and company leaders through mentoring programs.
• Apply standard engineering techniques and procedures.
• Perform assignments under supervision of a professional or Project Manager.
• Perform other duties as needed.

Preferred Qualifications

• Prefer 2 years completed toward degree with 3.0 GPA
• Demonstrated knowledge of software packages related to field of study/industry
• Local Candidates Preferred
