Job summary

Wegmans Food Markets in Woodbridge, NJ is seeking a sushi prep team member for our store. In this role you will help prepare fresh, high-quality sushi rolls and assist customers with made-to-order requests in a fast-paced, customer-focused environment.

Work alongside experienced sushi chefs, learn traditional techniques, maintain kitchen cleanliness, and ensure timely preparation and presentation while delivering excellent service. This is a part-time role with a competitive hourly pay.

Responsibilities

• Prepare ingredients, including slicing fish, cutting vegetables, and making sushi rice
• Assist in making sushi rolls, nigiri, sashimi, and other menu items according to recipes and presentation standards
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen, following food safety and sanitation guidelines
• Work efficiently in a fast-paced environment, ensuring timely preparation
• Uphold excellent food presentation and customer satisfaction

Pay Range: $17 - $17.50 / hour
