Job summary

Wegmans Food Markets in Morrisville, NC is seeking a sushi prep teammate to join our store kitchen. You will help prepare fresh, high-quality sushi and assist customers with made-to-order requests under the guidance of seasoned sushi chefs.

In a fast-paced, customer-focused environment, you will practice traditional techniques, maintain cleanliness, and support the team to ensure timely preparation and consistent presentation.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years or older.
• Part-time role with varied shifts including mornings, afternoons, evenings and weekends.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks.

Responsibilities

• Prepare ingredients, including slicing fish, cutting vegetables, and making sushi rice.
• Assist in making sushi rolls, nigiri, sashimi, and other menu items according to recipes and presentation standards.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen, following food safety and sanitation guidelines.
• Work efficiently in a fast-paced environment, ensuring timely preparation.
• Uphold excellent food presentation and customer satisfaction.
