Momiji Salem NW Inc is seeking a capable Server to welcome guests, answer questions, and take orders for a fast-growing sushi bar and restaurant in Salem, OR. You will explain menu items, upsell, and coordinate with the kitchen to ensure timely, accurate service.

Qualified candidates will have strong customer service, multitasking ability, and familiarity with POS systems and health/safety standards. OLCC and food handler cards or the ability to obtain them within 30 days are required.

Qualifications

• Excellent customer service and ability to set a positive tone for guests and staff.
• Ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment at a consistent tempo.
• Must be dependable with good attendance and teamwork.
• Must understand the menu and communicate clearly with guests and kitchen staff.
• Must follow health and safety policies, operate POS, and handle payments.

Responsibilities

• Greet and seat customers.
• Explain menu items and upsell where appropriate.
• Take orders accurately and relay to kitchen staff.
• Communicate allergies or special instructions to kitchen team.
• Follow OLCC guidelines for alcohol service and ensure fast, quality service.
• Handle phone orders and in-person orders at the counter.
• Ensure orders are prepared accurately and served hot.
• Provide attentive service, refill drinks, and address guest needs.
• Assist in cleaning, sanitation, and closing tasks as required.
• Process payments using the POS system and manage discounts/rewards.
