Signing Bonus
We are offering a $1,000 signing bonus to qualified candidates: $500 after 90 days and an additional $500 after six months.
The Role
Your primary responsibility is to create high‑quality sushi dishes that delight our guests.
Responsibilities
- Accurately and efficiently prepare the highest quality sushi for our guests, following standard portion sizes, cooking methods, quality standards, and kitchen rules, policies and procedures while assuming full responsibility for product quality.
- Provide training and guidance to other kitchen staff regarding sushi culinary procedures and plating.
- Prepare and present all food items, hot and cold, per outlet standards and norms.
- Maintain a clean and sanitary workstation, including tables, shelves, refrigeration equipment, and adhere to all DHEC regulations for cleanliness and sanitation.
- Close the kitchen properly and follow the closing checklist for kitchen stations.
- Promptly report all product shortages, equipment problems or food quality issues to the Chef.
Requirements
- Minimum two years of experience in kitchen preparation or line cook experience.
- Positive energy, teamwork, and willingness to assist fellow support staff.
- Ability to read and understand basic cooking directions.
- Effective communication with managers, employees, and guests.
- Flexible schedule to work days, nights, weekends, and holidays.
- Physical ability to stand/walk constantly with occasional stooping, kneeling, pushing, pulling, or lifting.
