Job summary

Jeff Ruby Culinary Entertainment Inc. is seeking a Specialty Sushi Chef to professionally prepare a variety of sushi and ensure every presentation aligns with the brand's high standards.

You will handle rice preparation, rolling sushi, temperature recording, and support the Sushi Chef and Raw Bar as needed during service. You will work as part of a tight-knit team to deliver exceptional guest experiences, maintain safety and sanitation, and uphold meticulous kitchen cleanliness.

Qualifications

• At least three months' experience as a Specialty Sushi Chef or a similar position.
• Working knowledge of weights and measurements.
• Comprehension of English, both oral and written.
• Solid knowledge of health and safety procedures.
• Solid knowledge of sanitation practices.
• Professional appearance and demeanor.

Responsibilities

• Prepare various types of sushi and ensure presentations meet Jeff Ruby standards.
• Assist Sushi Chef and Raw Bar as directed during service.
• Maintain cleanliness, sanitation, and organization of assigned work areas.
• Engage with guests and maintain positive guest relations at all times.
• Work as a team with FOH staff and kitchen personnel to fulfill service.
• Monitor and maintain equipment and ensure proper functioning.
• Maintain menu knowledge and meticulous plate presentation.
• Adhere to all department policies and procedures.
