Job summary

Wegmans is seeking a Sushi Prep Cook to assist in preparing fresh sushi, nigiri, rolls, and other menu items in a fast-paced store kitchen. You’ll learn from experienced sushi chefs and help deliver high-quality, made-to-order options while ensuring great presentation.

Responsibilities include ingredient prep, rice handling, and maintaining kitchen cleanliness; you will work closely with the team to meet recipes and standards while delivering friendly customer service.

Qualifications

• Experience in food preparation preferred.

• Willingness to learn sushi techniques and recipes.

Responsibilities

• Prepare ingredients, including slicing fish, cutting vegetables, and making sushi rice
• Assist in making sushi rolls, nigiri, sashimi, and other menu items according to recipes and presentation standards
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen, following food safety and sanitation guidelines
• Work efficiently in a fast-paced environment, ensuring timely preparation
