Job summary

Wegmans is seeking a sushi prep team member to prepare fresh sushi rolls, nigiri, sashimi, and assist customers with made-to-order requests in a fast-paced store environment. Learn from experienced sushi chefs, perfecting techniques and presentation.

Responsibilities include preparing ingredients, slicing fish, making sushi rice, maintaining kitchen cleanliness, and ensuring timely preparation while upholding customer satisfaction.

Qualifications

• Associate - Culinary Arts; Food preparation experience; Experience working as a Prep Cook / apprentice cook
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks

Responsibilities

• Prepare ingredients, including slicing fish, cutting vegetables, and making sushi rice
• Assist in making sushi rolls, nigiri, sashimi, and other menu items according to recipes and presentation standards
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen, following food safety and sanitation guidelines
• Work efficiently in a fast-paced environment, ensuring timely preparation
• Uphold excellent food presentation and customer satisfaction
