Wegmans is seeking a sushi prep team member to assist in preparing fresh sushi, nigiri, sashimi, and made-to-order items. You will learn traditional techniques alongside experienced chefs in a fast-paced store kitchen, delivering high-quality presentation and customer service.

The role emphasizes food safety, efficiency, and collaboration with kitchen staff; training is provided in a supportive, mission-driven environment.

Qualifications

• Food preparation experience preferred and/or training in a kitchen
• Experience working as a Prep Cook or apprentice cook is helpful
• Associates - Culinary Arts background is a plus

Responsibilities

• Prepare ingredients: slice fish, cut vegetables, make sushi rice
• Assist in making sushi rolls, nigiri, sashimi, and other items per recipes
• Maintain kitchen cleanliness and follow food safety guidelines
• Work efficiently in a fast-paced environment to ensure timely prep
• Uphold high presentation standards and customer satisfaction
