Momiji Lebanon Inc. is seeking a Cook to prepare ingredients and support Sushi Chefs in our Oregon kitchen, ensuring accuracy to recipes and attractive presentation.

You will label and stock ingredients, maintain cleanliness, and assist with stocking and ordering while upholding food safety standards. This role requires teamwork, reliability, and the ability to work in a fast-paced restaurant environment.

Qualifications

• Multitasking across kitchen tasks and orders.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and maintain tempo.
• Positive attitude and team spirit.
• Strong knowledge of menu and cooking methods (knife, stove, fryer, steamer, oven).
• Reliable with good attendance.
• Effective communication within a team.
• Ability to follow health and safety policies.
• Experience across prep cook, tempura, primary and secondary cook stations.

Responsibilities

• Operates in the kitchen and/or back of the house, ensuring food safety and quality per specifications.
• Parboils, reduces sauces, and initiates steps for various dishes.
• Ensure ingredients and final products are fresh and complete.
• Follow recipes with precise measuring, weighing, and mixing.
• Prepare items using bake, grill, steam, boil, fry, and chop techniques.
• Present and garnish dishes for attractive presentation.
• Maintain a clean and safe work environment.
• Assist with stocking and ordering ingredients; coordinate with Head Sushi Chef.
• Report equipment issues to Head Sushi Chef.
• Store and handle diverse types of ingredients properly.
• Adhere to food safety sanitation standards and regulations.
