Momiji Inc. in Salem, OR is seeking a Cook to prepare ingredients from our menu and assist Sushi Chefs and kitchen staff. You will label and stock items, follow recipes, and present visually appealing dishes while maintaining safety standards.

Qualifications

• Ability to multitask in a busy kitchen.
• Comfort with fast-paced environments and maintaining tempo.
• Positive attitude and dependability.
• Strong understanding of menu and basic cooking methods (knives, stove, fryer, steamer, oven).
• Team-oriented with clear communication and reliability.
• Adherence to health and safety policies and procedures.
• Ability to work across prep cook, tempura, primary/secondary cook stations.

Responsabilités

• Operates in kitchen/back of house ensuring food is prepared safely and to specifications.
• Parboils, reduces sauces, and starts first steps in varieties of dishes.
• Ensure ingredients and final products are fresh and complete.
• Follow recipes, measure ingredients, weigh and mix.
• Presents and garnishes dishes for attractive presentation.
• Maintains clean and safe work environment.
• Assists in stocking, ordering, and communicating needs to Head Sushi Chef.
• Cleans kitchen areas and equipment as required.
