Culinary Dropout in Salt Lake City is hiring a Sushi Cook to join the new restaurant opening team this Summer. Apply now for early consideration to be part of a fast-paced, high-energy kitchen.

You’ll bring 1+ year of high-volume restaurant experience, strong communication, and the ability to stand for long periods and lift up to 25 pounds. Availability on weekends and some holidays is preferred, with benefits kicking in at 25 hours per week.

Qualifications

• Must have 1+ year high-volume restaurant experience.
• Excellent communication skills in a fast-paced kitchen.
• Able to stand for long periods and lift up to 25 pounds.
• Comfortable working in a high-energy environment and following recipes.

Responsibilities

• Prepare food from scratch by following recipes to produce consistent results.
• Cook a variety of meats, seafood, poultry, vegetables, and other items using broilers, ovens, grills, fryers and other equipment.
• Follow all food safety and sanitation standards; work clean.
• Perform calmly and effectively in a high-volume environment.
• Availability to work weekends and some holidays.
• Be available to fill in as needed to ensure smooth operation of the restaurant.
