Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years of sushi chef or cook experience.
• Mastery of maki, nigiri and sashimi techniques.
• Deep knowledge of Japanese ingredients and seasonality.
• Ability to work under pressure in a high-volume kitchen.
• ServSafe certification or equivalent required.
• Excellent time management and organizational skills.
• Commitment to food safety and hygiene standards.

About the Role

As the Sushi Cook, you will be responsible for the maintenance and execution of the sushi program. What We’re Looking For (Qualifications)

• Minimum of 2 years of experience as a sushi chef or cook.
• Exceptional knife skills and mastery of all sushi preparation techniques (maki, nigiri, and sashimi).
• Deep understanding of Japanese ingredients, seasonality, and culinary traditions, alongside classic cooking methods.
• Ability to thrive under pressure in a high-volume environment.
• Commitment to maintaining the highest food safety and hygiene standards.
• Excellent time management and organizational skills.
• Up-to-date ServSafe certification (or equivalent as required by law).
