Qualifications

• At least 2 years of experience as a Sushi Cook.
• ServeSafe or Food Handler’s Certification.
• Advanced knowledge of culinary techniques and recipes.
• Ability to remain calm and thrive under pressure.
• Excellent time management skills.
• Ability to stand for long periods and lift up to 40 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Set up the sushi kitchen section with necessary tools, ingredients and equipment.
• Prepare sushi maki rolls, nigiris, sashimis, crudos, tatakis, Omakases and present them in an appealing manner according to standards.
• Work as a team with other Sushi Cooks and Chef especially during high volume shifts.
• Maintain appropriate levels of inventory and restock when necessary.
• Follow all food safety regulations, inspect daily deliveries of fish and seafood.
• Know to clean, cut and prepare fish and seafood for the proper preparation of our sushi and omakase creations.
• Participate in daily kitchen opening and closing procedures including but not limited cleaning of sushi sections.
• Performs other duties as assigned by the head chef or management
